With summer comes the need to eat some delicious and fresh food. If, however, you also want your meals to have an international twist to them, then bruschettas are the ones for you! This Italian delight can be a great afternoon snack, appetizer, and even dinner for these sunnier months. If you’d like to give them a try at home, you just need to follow the recipe posted below.

How to Prepare a Delicious Bruschetta

Acquire the Ingredients

The first step is to get all of the ingredients:
  • Delicious whole grain bread (you can even let it go a bit stale so it’s crunchier)
  • 7 tomatoes
  • 7 basil leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper (to your liking)

Prepare the Bread

Then, you should make sure that the bread is nice and warm for the bruschetta. Slice a few pieces of bread and place them on a frying pan until you see them turn a golden color.

Chop the Tomatoes, Basil, and Garlic

For this next step you’ll need a cutting board and a cutting knife so you can chop the tomatoes, basil leaves, and garlic. You can make them as thin or thick as you want them to be.

Put the Ingredients Together

Now, it’s time to put all of the chopped ingredients in a bowl and add the extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt/pepper to them. Mix it all nicely so the flavors can spread evenly.

Top the Bread Off and Enjoy!

Finally, all you have to do is top off the bread with your delicious creation. You can then serve it to your guests or enjoy it on your own for a delightful summer snack.
